Foghat making a blues album is a natural as Hanes underwear is to Michael Jordan’s body – it’s a snug and perfect fit.

Friday, December 31st, 2010

Led by founding member and drummer Roger Earl, Last Train Home is well written and executed. The results are evident, as the album has climbed inside the Top 10 of Blues charts. Let’s face it though, a Foghat blues album is not THAT far from a Foghat rock album and Last Train Home is as welcome in a rocker’s catalog as it is in a bluesman’s. This one is a winner from start to finish.

Merry Christmas to all of our fantastic friends and fans!We want to take this time to thank you all so much for supporting our music and being there in the good times and the not so good times. You all make it so worthwhile. We wish you all a happy, peaceful holiday with those that matter most to… you! Enjoy each day and make each one count. And have a Rockin’ new year!

Some Reviews of Last Train Home:

The lead guitar of Bryan Bassett is outstanding on the disc, pure electricity in every note. Listen to the lead solos on the first two songs “Born for the Road” or “Needle & Spoon” (over a minute of electric guitar bliss)- to become a convert of the new Foghat faithful instantly . . . This blues themed album was a dream project of the late Foghat vocalist “Lonesome” Dave Peverett,  and Charlie Huhn honors him well. Huhn has the vocal chops to be everything Foghat needs him to be…” Goldmine Pick of the Week 6/9/10 – by Pat Prince

“Artistically unassailable. Foghat has beaten all the odds and made a record that stands tall!” Hittin’ the Note Magazine

“…This CD is simply brilliant and should help re-establish Foghat as one of the most electrifying bands on the planet.”

“…Not only does this disc exceed expectations, it’s a thrilling listen returning Foghat to its blues roots complete with a guest appearance by the legendary

Eddie “Bluesman” Kirkland on the five minute scorcher “In My Dreams” and the bar room boogie “Good Good Day…”

“…The band’s original instrumental “495 Boogie” roars out of the station and heads straight to New Orleans, with a rollicking groove, honky-tonk piano,

rockabilly-tinged guitars, and bluesy overtones reminding one of Professor Longhair…”   Reverend Keith A. Gordon –

“…By the last track, it’s clear this lineup makes fine rockin’ boogie in the time honored Foghat tradition.  Somewhere, Lonesome Dave is smiling ear to ear.”  Vintage Guitar Magazine
